Project description:

Project is an internal initiative by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency aimed at evaluating the performance of applications and IT systems utilized by the agency. These evaluations are critical for ensuring effective border management across the European Union and combating cross-border crime efficiently. Klient's conducts such assessments regularly to ensure its technological tools meet the highest standards of performance and security.

The project leverages beacon technology—small devices emitting radio signals used for tracking and locating objects or individuals. These beacons are instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency and security in various contexts:

  • Tracking patrol units: Enabling real-time monitoring of vehicle or vessel positions and movements.
  • Personnel management: Assisting in the localization of border officers during field operations.
  • Infrastructure monitoring: Overseeing key border facilities to ensure their security.

By integrating beacon technology, this project supports Klient's mission of increasing operational effectiveness and ensuring secure EU borders.

Requirements:

Must have:

  • Very strong skills and minimum 4 years of experience in Cloud Architecture.
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or DevOps Specialist (minimum 3 years).
  • Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo).
  • Proficiency in containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
  • Experience in scripting and automation (Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar).
  • Understanding of beacon technologies and IoT integration is a strong plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of cloud security best practices.
  • Fluent English (B2+), both written and spoken.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an Agile environment.

 

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus).
  • Familiarity with public sector projects or enterprise-scale IT environments.
  • Knowledge of IT system performance benchmarking and optimization.
