Job Title: UE5 Level Designer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Level Designer to join our team at Techland S.A. as we develop a new IP and continue to work on Dying Light and a fantasy game.

As a Level Designer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing gameplay locations, scripting, and iterating on levels to ensure a high-quality player experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-create and transform the project vision into a playable environment, including implementing and adapting game mechanics to space.
  • Collaborate closely with specialists from various fields, such as art, programming, design, audio, and animation.
  • Test levels for bugs, gameplay issues, and overall player experience, and apply feedback to improve levels and gameplay.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to levels and gameplay.

Requirements:

  • Passion for game development and at least 2-3 years of experience as a Level Designer or equivalent.
  • Ability to design and create engaging and understandable game environments, providing diverse gameplay and aesthetics.
  • Good knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of how to guide players through indirect means.
  • Good sense of what will play well and what will be frustrating.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively and share knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of English.

  • Basic knowledge of architecture.
  • Artistic skills, such as drawing, painting, or modeling.
