Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.

This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network.

As a member of our team, you'll participate in the design of new and adaptation of existing products in international design groups.

You'll work closely with development and product engineers to implement new products into the manufacturing process.

We're looking for someone with knowledge of one of the leading 3D CAD environments, PTC CREO Parametric preferred, and basic knowledge of mechanics, strength of materials and FEM analysis.

Basic knowledge of precision mechanics and GD&T methodology will be an added advantage.

You'll also have knowledge of the principles of preparing technical documentation and basic knowledge of sheet metal forming and injection molding process of plastic parts.

As a team player, you'll support other departments in collaborative projects.

Knowledge of English at the level of free communication in speech and writing is required.

What We're Looking For

  • Higher education, preferred majors: Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and related fields
  • Knowledge of one of the leading 3D CAD environments, PTC CREO Parametric preferred
  • Basic knowledge of mechanics, strength of materials and FEM analysis
  • Knowledge of precision mechanics will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of GD&T methodology will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of the principles of preparing technical documentation
  • Basic knowledge of sheet metal forming and injection molding process of plastic parts
  • Basic knowledge of 3D printing
  • Analytical skills at a basic level
  • Knowledge of English at the level of free communication in speech and writing
  • Communication skills, conscientiousness, commitment and high personal culture
  • Conceptual sketching skills will be an added advantage
