About the Role

Fineos Corporation is a leading provider of cloud-based software solutions for life, accident, and health insurance. We are currently seeking an experienced Software Engineer with expertise in cloud technologies to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively on a cross-functional team to build cloud-ready enterprise products;
  • Design and work on front-end web UIs with a strong UX focus;
  • Design, develop, and test back-end applications (Java) and REST APIs;
  • Coach and mentor other team members;
  • Identify and drive improvements and innovations;
  • Champion best practices to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable services and interfaces;

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Java programming experience;
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and troubleshooting web applications;
  • A relevant third-level qualification or equivalent commercial experience in software engineering;
  • Excellent technical problem-solving capabilities;
  • Dedication to learning and sharing new technologies and skills;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks (SAFe);
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability;
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration and release cycle patterns;

Desirable Skills:

  • React JS and other front-end technologies such as JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, HTML5, TypeScript;
  • Jest, Cypress, Jasmine test frameworks;
  • Mult-platform skills (Linux/Unix/Windows, Docker containerization, IaC);
  • Cloud technologies, particularly AWS.

Salary Range:

The estimated salary for this role is between €60,000 - €90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
