Senior Research Scientist Opportunity in Drug Discovery

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scientist to join our team at Selvita, a global integrated drug discovery partner. This position will be based in Krakow, Poland.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to work on high-content screening assays for drug discovery in a dynamic and growing company. As a Senior Scientist, you will play a key role in developing and coordinating novel assays, supervising cell cultures, and executing medium to high-throughput assays.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and coordinate novel high-content assays for drug screening in a multi-task project
- Supervise cell cultures in ongoing projects and provide hands-on support to collaborators
- Execute medium to high-throughput assays for drug discovery and compound pharmacological characterization
- Collaborate with other scientists to generate new scripts or analytical AI and Machine Learning-based methods for high-content analysis
- Communicate tasks independently and effectively
- Analyze data and write reports on research findings, reporting directly to the project leader
- Maintain organized records and provide regular feedback at inter-team meetings
- MSc in Biology, Molecular Biosciences, Biotechnology or related disciplines with a minimum of four years of experience in an industrial environment
- Strong experience with mammalian cell culture, including hiPSC/hESC and primary cells
- Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry and imaging acquisition experience, including confocal imaging and FRET analysis
- Experience with High Content Screening systems in a medium to high-throughput assay fashion
- Knowledge of intracellular cell signaling and pathways characterization, as well as cellular mechanism of protein-to-protein interaction
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize a substantial workload
