About The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager to lead our Business Unit finance team. This role is responsible for financial leadership at a strategic and operational level, ensuring the performance and results of the local Finance team align with corporate goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide functional leadership, management direction, and objective-setting for the team, aligned to achievement of Finance and corporate goals.
  • Design and implement effective internal controls, financial performance measurement, and risk management strategies.
  • Select or approve solutions to address business issues or requests, balancing compliance and governance with business opportunity.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements for statutory reporting and compliance purposes.
  • Ensure strong operational performance against key performance objectives, accurately analyse and report on business performance, allocate resources, and manage business, operational, and financial risks.
  • Challenge, influence, and guide business decision-making to pursue business opportunities that can deliver value to the company, with costs and income properly identified and managed.
  • Evaluate complex problems and identify best practice solutions and risk management strategies, making appropriate and timely management decisions when dealing with business problems or opportunities.
  • Identify relevant information, risks, and opportunities, costs, and benefits, and communicate effectively to senior decision-makers or business owners to inform and advise.
  • Proven forecasting and budgeting experience, with attention to detail, and knowledge of trends and forecast analysis.
  • Experience in automation and optimisation of Financial processes and tasks, without impacting the correct level of Financial control.
  • Ability to understand cost control solutions, track, and manage the financial impact on main KPIs, experience of tracking and reporting productivity, and monitoring impact on business objectives.

  • Proven track record of managing a team to achieve high performance levels, measured by customer satisfaction, strong internal controls, and employee feedback.
  • Experienced in designing and implementing functional solutions, policies, and strategies to deliver the best possible financial outcomes for the company.
  • Ability to implement and maintain sound financial controls.
  • Communications skills enabling the job holder to clearly and effectively communicate to senior management any financial or business risks, with recommendations for management actions and/or process change.
  • Proven forecasting and budgeting experience, with attention to detail, and knowledge of trends and forecast analysis.
  • Experience in automation and optimisation of Financial processes and tasks, without impacting the correct level of Financial control.
  • Ability to understand cost control solutions, track, and manage the financial impact on main KPIs, experience of tracking and reporting productivity, and monitoring impact on business objectives.
  • Familiarity with Financial systems HFM and SAP.
  • Exercises a Continuous improvement (Kaizen) approach, and creates a Continuous improvement environment in the team.
