Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at IBM Polska Sp. z o.o. in Poland.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud-based infrastructure, including troubleshooting, monitoring, and supporting critical production systems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues with our cloud infrastructure and resolve them efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and address potential problems before they occur.
  • Deploy environments in our cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.
  • Manage on-call support rotations, providing timely assistance to colleagues and clients when needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on technical strategies and goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying knowledge to improve our cloud infrastructure and services.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong working knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructures, preferably IBM Cloud.
  • Expertise in administration, configuration, and management of MS SQL Server 2022.
  • Proven experience in providing on-call support for critical production systems, focusing on determining root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
