Site Reliability Engineering Lead

As a Site Reliability Engineering Lead at Google, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and operation of large-scale distributed systems. Your expertise in software engineering, algorithms, complexity analysis, and large-scale system design will be crucial in managing complex challenges of scale.
The role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for problem-solving. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from optimizing existing systems to building new infrastructure, and eliminating work through automation.

Responsibilities- Lead a team of Software/Systems Engineers on projects for users and be directly responsible for uptime.
- Own availability and performance of key services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence. Automate response to all non-exceptional service conditions.
- Lead by example, mentor the team, and establish credibility through quality technical execution.
- Manage on-call rotations across continents, using a follow-the-sun model.
- Design, write and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency and efficiency of Google's services.
