About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Cocoa Supply Chain Planner to join our team at Barry Callebaut. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for managing the global cocoa production plan, considering 5 regions and 1200kmt of cocoa products, as well as the external supply plan for the tactical horizon (5 to 24 months). You will work closely with regional chocolate tactical planners and purchasing teams to build alternative scenarios to solve tactical supply issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the global cocoa production plan, considering 5 regions and 1200kmt of cocoa products, as well as the external supply plan for the tactical horizon (5 to 24 months).
  • Support the monthly preparation for Pre S&OP and PS&OP meetings, highlighting assumptions taken in the plan, changes, drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with regional chocolate tactical planners and purchasing teams to build alternative scenarios to solve tactical supply issues.
  • Apply the global cocoa inventory target needed (+200kmt of cocoa products) with the agreed balance between availability risks and working capital.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to support decision-making and tender processes when several options are identified.
  • Support the annual Budget planning process, liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure on-time and full delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve the supply chain processes and support initiatives as needed.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in economics or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in an equivalent planning function.
  • OMP (Planning tool) and Excel proficiency.
  • Facility to navigate with several IT platforms (SAP, APO...).
  • APICS certification (Supply Chain certification), and/or supply chain education.
  • English proficiency, other languages highly valued.
  • Highly analytical, able to read complex data.
