About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scala Engineer to join our team at Evolution. As a Scala Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing scalable, well-structured systems that utilize modern functional programming approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable, high-performance systems using Scala and functional programming principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring it is well-structured, modular, and follows best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in delivering production software using Scala or comparable experience.
  • Strong understanding of functional programming principles and their application in Scala.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Cats, Scalaz, Cats Effect, ZIO, Monix, Akka Actors, Persistence, Cluster & HTTP, http4s, Tagless Final, and/or Scala.js.
  • Experience with Event Sourcing & CQRS.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Cassandra.
