Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Specialist to join our team at b2bnetwork. As an Automation Specialist, you will play a critical role in automating tasks and processes across various environments.

About the Role
  • This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement automation solutions using Ansible, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Analyze and understand automation requirements, planning and preparing detailed workflows for development.
  • Create reusable and scalable Ansible roles and playbooks, selecting appropriate tools and features for development.
  • Ensure security and compliance are considered throughout the planning and development process.
  • Document automation processes to ensure clarity and alignment with automation requirements.
  • Develop advanced and complex playbooks and roles to automate tasks across multiple environments.
  • Maintain and optimize existing automation infrastructure, adhering to coding standards and guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Ansible updates, modules, and community contributions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT automation, with significant expertise in Ansible.
  • Excellent knowledge of advanced Ansible playbook development, structuring complex playbooks, and extensive use of variables, modules, loops, handlers, filters, plugins, and templates.
  • Expertise in configuring and managing resources in Ansible Automation Platform (AWX) and understanding overall platform architecture.
  • Experience in custom module development using Python and understanding Ansible module architecture.
  • Good knowledge and experience in infrastructure automation using Ansible, both on-premise and cloud.
  • Configuration management, state enforcement, and security-related automation experience.
  • Systems administration background, including Linux, Windows, databases, and network concepts.
  • Understanding and experience with Git, version control systems, branching, merging, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills, as well as good communication and problem-solving abilities.
