Job Title: Creative Visual Storyteller

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cinematic Designer to join our team at CD PROJEKT RED in Warsaw. As a key member of our Cinematics department, you will be responsible for crafting engaging interactive scenes and cutscenes using advanced animation libraries and motion capture technology.

Your primary role will involve collaborating with our top storytellers to produce emotionally gripping or action-packed scenes that resonate with our audience. If you have a passion for bringing stories to life through breathtaking cinematics, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create compelling scenes with excellent pacing, acting, cinematography, editing, and timing.
  • Communicate effectively with designers, other departments, and leads to improve visual storytelling and establish continuity between gameplay and the story.
  • Set up actor staging and cameras.
  • Meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Adhere to pipelines and technical requirements.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A deep understanding of storytelling principles and how to apply them to create coherent and memorable scenes and sequences.
  • Excellent knowledge of acting, including posing and timing.
  • Strong expertise in cinematography and editing.
  • Experience in directing and/or acting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with working with screenplays.
  • At least 5 years of experience in AAA game development, specifically with long-form projects from inception to completion.
  • Self-motivation and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with game engines such as Unreal (preferred), Unity, Godot, or REDkit.
  • Technical problem-solving abilities.
  • Quick adaptability to company-specific software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
