Biotech Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Biotech Research Scientist to join our team in Krakow, Poland.
Job Description- Plan and execute experiments with animal models, including mouse handling, injections, blood collections, and post-mortem examinations.
- Design and develop disease-relevant in vivo models for oncology drug discovery projects.
- Serve as the lead for in vivo studies supporting pre-clinical discovery and early development projects.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from experiments.
- Prepare scientific reports and documents for ethical committees and regulatory agencies.
- Operate diagnostic and imaging equipment to support research projects.
- Maintain accurate records related to animal care using facility management software.
- Evaluate and ensure animal health and welfare, collaborating with the animal welfare officer to maintain optimal conditions.
- Perform necropsies, tissue, and fluid collections as needed.
- Develop and apply rodent surgical skills, including pre-surgical and post-surgical care and monitoring.
- Collaborate closely with other scientists and technicians to achieve project goals.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A higher education degree in a relevant field, such as biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, or pharmacology.
- Practical experience with in vivo models and experimental skills, preferably in oncology.
- A good understanding of the drug discovery and development process.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A certificate in animal handling and procedures (FELASA functions A, B, C, and D).
- An estimated salary range of 50,000-70,000 PLN per year, based on your qualifications and experience.
