Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and delivery of critical applications meeting business requirements with high quality and timeliness.
  • Coach and mentor team members, refining software development processes to drive excellence.
  • Develop maintainable, well-documented application functionality, focusing on standardization, common components, simplicity, performance, and robustness.
  • Contribute technical expertise to defining application requirements, collaborating with business analysts, business representatives, and others.
  • Create proofs of concept or prototypes as needed, contributing to technical design and database/data model design.
  • Promote coding patterns, highlight anti-patterns, and enforce implementation through code reviews.
  • Resolve issues in the production environment, maintaining a helpful approach, performing root cause analysis, technology evaluation, and performance tuning.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of relevant software development experience
  • Experience leading a team and guiding junior Java developers to deliver business value
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in developing back-end systems with REST web services in Java 11+
  • Good understanding of Java Design Patterns and OO Design for microservices
  • Proficiency in RDBMS concepts, SQL, Spring Data, JPA
  • Knowledge of Spring, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot, Junit, Git, Maven
  • Understanding of enterprise SDLC and application deployment procedures
  • High proficiency in development practices: unit testing, Continuous Integration, refactoring, clean code
  • Ability to adapt to Scrum/Agile methodologies

Nice to Have:

  • Working experience with Angular and web application tuning
  • Familiarity with Quality Assurance methodologies and approaches
  • Aptitude for development within a Linux environment
  • Experience with containers and Kubernetes
