Accounts Payable Specialist for North America

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in North America. As an AP Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payment requests, generating payments, and resolving payment-related issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process payment requests and generate payments in the system for third-party and intercompany vendors.
  • Solve payment-related issues and handle queries assigned for resolution.
  • Assist with Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt account reconciliation and AP Trade account reconciliation.
  • Perform account aging reviews and resolve overpayments and recovery.
  • Perform period closing activities for payments and maintain unclaimed property records for reporting and filing purposes.
  • Provide documentation requested by internal and external auditors.
  • Periodically provide payment practices report, oversight reports, and other assigned tasks.
  • Prepare invoice entries for netting and cooperate with treasury for the procedure.
  • Cooperate with treasury in payment-related activities and support cash management goals.
  • Participate in projects and onboard new employees.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2 or more years of experience in Accounts Payable/Procurement/Supply Chain area is required.
  • Knowledge and experience in SAP and Ariba are required.
  • Project management skills are beneficial.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at different levels of management.
  • Proactivity in identifying and supporting customer needs.
  • Focus on details and quality of service delivered.
  • Problem-solving skills, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changes.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Solid PC skills (MS Word and Excel required).
