About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GL Accountant to join our team at Exact Sciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records and general ledgers, performing general accounting and reconciliations for assigned entities, and assisting with audit preparations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for month end activities and month end journal entries for assigned entities.
  • Reconcile balance sheet and P&L.
  • Responsible for quarterly and annual accounting and tax packages.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP accounting, Sarbanes Oxley, and company policies.
  • Ensure effective internal controls for the assigned accounting areas.
  • Responsible for local statutory accounting and coordination with outsourcing partners.
  • Responsible for internal and external audits.
  • Participate in the implementation and upkeep of our ERP system.
  • Work with external accounting partners, as well as U.S. corporate finance team (SAP).
  • Participate and support finance related projects and perform ad hoc tasks, as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance.
  • 5+ years of work experience in an accounting or financial reporting role.
  • 5+ years of experience in a multinational company and/or shared service center.
  • 5+ of years of experience working with an ERP system.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills.
  • Fluent to read, write, and speak in English. Fluent in German is a strong preference.
