Strategic Risk Manager for Global Procurement

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Risk Manager to join our Global Procurement team at Roche.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement end-to-end supplier risk management activities throughout the supplier lifecycle.
  • Provide thought leadership, advice, and know-how on supply chain resilience, financial risk, and supplier risk prevention.
  • Apply the supplier risk management framework to reduce risk, minimize business disruption, and ensure business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Conduct analysis of current or proposed business operations to identify areas of potential loss or damage and provide guidance to business decision-makers on issues and development of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with Global Procurement and partner functions to achieve the most effective integration of available tools and data into existing supplier risk management processes.
Requirements
  • University degree in law, business, life science, or engineering.
  • Extensive experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry, including leadership roles in a matrix organization.
  • Strong demonstrated success in building and cultivating collaborative and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven understanding of drug development, commercialization, and operations planning.
  • Established understanding of supply chain fundamentals and risk management.
  • Experience in continuous improvement of business processes, including process ownership, oversight, and monitoring.
  • Authoritative command of complexity and ambiguity, ability to collect, digest, and assemble information to enable meaningful business analyses and influence decision-making.
  • Business-level fluency in English.
