This role offers the opportunity to be part of a team that tackles everyday problems through innovative technology and transforms an entire industry using the internet of things (IoT).

Key for Business, our patented building access technology, supports Amazon Last Mile in the US.

Responsibilities include design, development, and maintenance of systems enabling innovative package delivery experiences, working with team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility, and delivering high-quality software in an Agile/Scrum environment.

A day in the life involves research, design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of new and existing backend systems and creation of software services and tools driving the software development process towards higher quality.

As an IoT Technology Specialist, you will work on cutting-edge technologies in the market today, from concept to launch, ensuring the highest level of quality for your deliverables.

Our team is actively seeking a motivated and multi-talented engineer who is passionate about technological and business innovation.

You will be part of an inter-disciplinary team of hardware, firmware, software, and system engineers developing and integrating cutting-edge technologies from IoT, wireless, and cloud computing into pragmatic solutions for package transportation, logistics, and delivery.

Your software will guide drivers to deliver packages at the right place, right time, to the right person, deployed in scale to help Amazon delivery exceed customer expectations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • 2+ years of experience building distributed applications in microservice architecture
  • 2+ years of experience building Cloud applications with a strong focus on cloud native solutions
  • 2+ years of professional software development experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development building production software systems
  • 2+ years of experience applying computer science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services
  • Frontend development
  • Native mobile application development (iOS/Android) and exposing APIs for mobile clients
  • Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
