Drive the Energy Transition as an Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join our team at EIT InnoEnergy, a leading innovation engine in sustainable energy. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic organization driving forward Europe's energy and mobility transition.

About the Role

The Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities related to the entity(ies) they are responsible for. Key tasks include processing expenses, vendor invoices, and payments, managing client and vendor master data, and preparing payment batches and uploading them to the bank portal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process expenses, vendor invoices, and payments to vendors;
  • Manage purchase order matching and invoice approval process;
  • Manage client and vendor master data;
  • Process sales invoices, payments, and follow up on overdue payments;
  • Prepare payment batches and upload them to the bank portal;
  • Post bank statements;
  • Prepare VAT declarations;
  • Participate in the monthly closing with the Team Lead Accounting;
  • Prepare and process account reconciliations;
  • Manage fixed assets;
  • Prepare and process correct Payroll reconciliation;
  • Perform general finance administration;
  • Prepare the monthly management reporting pack.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of €50,000 - €70,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including pension scheme, flexible work environment, and opportunities for personal development.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or equivalent practical experience;
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Experience in XX GAAP (country specialists) and IFRS;
  • In-depth Excel skills and technology-minded individual;
  • Experience working in Business Central is a plus;
  • Service-minded, deadline-focused, and a team player;
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to efficient performance;
  • Excellent organizational, technical, and analytical skills;
  • Critical mindset and practical problem solver;
  • Languages: English/Dutch, other languages depending on allocated co-locations.
