Your Role

We're seeking an experienced Back-End Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. As one of the founding engineers, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of Knowde's digital transformation. Your contributions will enable the development of innovative products that don't exist today, impacting the way product innovation occurs globally.

Responsibilities

• You'll work closely with leadership and the product team to make decisions about your code and the future of the product, enjoying the autonomy to take ownership of your projects.
  
• Contribute to the build of a complex ecommerce marketplace, pioneering in the Chemicals space, and helping to drive digital transformation.
  
• A strong emphasis will be placed on shipping features quickly without compromising code quality, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  
• You'll own your projects from design to implementation and deployment, taking pride in implementing cutting-edge technologies and writing state-of-the-art code.
  
• Simplify complex problems, focusing on elegance and pragmatism in your coding practices, setting a high standard for other developers to follow.
  

Requirements

We're looking for a skilled individual with:

• 
  
• Excellent knowledge of Ruby language and Rails framework.
  
• Strong understanding of SQL.
  
• Familiarity with Sinatra is a plus.
  
• The ability to quickly and independently take tasks from requirements to deployment.
  
• An ability to work effectively within distributed teams.
  
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and building scalable, high-availability mission-critical systems and APIs.
  
• A high bar for quality and attention to detail.
  
• Familiarity with deployment processes (Capistrano), user authentication and authorization (Devise).
  
• The ability to design and implement clear and scalable project structures.
  
• Experience with test-driven development, creating and maintaining useful test suites.
  
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  
• Experience with web service deployments.
