Purpose of the Position

The Service Engineer will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of MacGregor product range.

  • Efficiently and accurately perform repair and maintenance work on MacGregor equipment.
  • Support management and the rest of the organization in necessary areas.
  • Ensure that all activities comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS), QHSE, and other rules and requirements according to MacGregor standards.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Function

  • Professionally supervise and/or perform service activities, including overhauls, inspections, preventative maintenance, and corrective actions on MacGregor and equivalent equipment.
  • Develop and maintain independent working methods.
  • Continuously develop own skills and knowledge.

General

  • Carry out day-to-day activities as specified below.
  • Provide information and write reports as required.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Enable feedback from customers and the service market to reach the appropriate MacGregor organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant developments, routines, processes, and news within MacGregor's major customers active in the business area.
  • Cooperate with other MacGregor service stations and the installation division.
  • Comply with all relevant safety and quality requirements.
  • Follow site safety rules, agreed working practices, and environmental requirements.
  • Recognize service and spares sales opportunities and communicate them to the relevant persons.
  • Coach and tutor junior colleagues and trainees as necessary.
  • Aware of the profitability in the department.
  • Manage subcontractors.

Authority

  • Make decisions about commercial matters within prescribed limits for each project, previously agreed with the Operations Superintendent.
