At GR8 Tech, we're looking for a skilled Python Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for developing, testing, and supporting features that drive our business forward.

About Your Key Responsibilities and Impact
  • Develop and maintain high-quality Python code, ensuring it's scalable, performant, and reliable;
  • Create and execute automated unit tests and functional tests to ensure our features work as expected;
  • Engage in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve our codebase;
  • Participate in on-call support to quickly address any issues that arise;
  • Collaborate with product management to gather requirements and provide technical feedback on approaches and complexity.
Essential Professional Experience
  • At least 1.5 years of experience writing high-quality Python code;
  • A solid understanding of design principles for scalability, performance, and reliability;
  • Strong computer science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis;
  • Ability and willingness to learn about new technologies and tools;
  • Self-motivated and proactive, able to take ownership and deliver results;
  • Fundamental understanding of Kubernetes and Helm for container orchestration and package management;
  • Experience in writing and improving complex SQL queries to optimize database performance;
  • Base knowledge of Airflow for workflow automation and PostgreSQL or other databases for data storage.
Desirable Skills and Personal Features
  • Experience with AWS for cloud computing and data storage;
  • Data science experience to analyze and visualize data insights;
  • CI/CD pipeline experience to automate testing and deployment;
  • Base knowledge of Spark for big data processing and Flink for stream processing;
  • Experience with Kafka for messaging and event-driven architecture;
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure provisioning and configuration using IaC principles;
  • Experience with Go for building scalable and efficient applications.
