Demand Planning Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Demand Planning Specialist to join our team at Perrigo. As a Demand Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the forecast review, identifying main forecast variances, and driving prompt decision-making processes that impact the demand plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external partners, including supply planning, finance, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Use data modeling to generate statistical forecasts at various levels, including SKU and brand.
  • Interact with key commercial functions to interpret market trends and demand drivers, adjusting forecasts to reflect those impacts and achieving consensus on demand forecasts.
  • Evaluate buying patterns of key customers and collaborate with commercial teams to assess the impact of promotions and events on demand, using what-if analysis to create scenarios and recommendations.
  • Work closely with channel/customer owners to understand nuances of each unique sales channel/customer and reconcile significant variances, refining forecasts to reflect updated sales and marketing strategies.
  • Review trends in historical sales, forecast accuracy, and forecast bias, with the goal of progressive continuous improvement.
  • Document and monitor relevant assumptions that drive changes in demand across diverse stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of annual plans and reconcile them with monetized demand plans.
  • Identify discrepancies and provide recommendations to improve demand-planning performance.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Demand Planning or a related Supply Chain field, preferably in the Consumer Self-Care or FMCG industry.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, including Microsoft Office, ERP, and SAP IBP.
  • Proficiency in financial and business planning.
  • Understanding of supply chain planning and order management processes.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
