Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and experienced leader to join our AI Center at Samsung R&D Institute Poland.

About the Role

As a Senior AI Research Group Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented Scientists and Engineers, driving groundbreaking AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of AI Researchers and AI Engineers, plan research projects, and define the strategic direction of the team.
  • Develop innovative AI algorithms and solutions in areas of: Knowledge and Reasoning, Safety and Alignment, Context and Coherence.
  • Collaborate closely with company leadership to align research activities with organizational goals and business strategy.
  • Write and oversee the publication process and represent the AI Center at top scientific conferences.
  • Build and maintain relationships with academic and research partners, while staying up-to-date with the latest AI advancements and trends.
  • Mentor researchers or contribute to the intellectual growth of the research team.
  • Actively monitor and contribute to the latest developments and trends in AI research, integrating state-of-the-art advancements into research practices.

Requirements

  • Ph D in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in AI research, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
  • A strong track record of participation in leading research projects.
  • Excellent scientific writing skills, with a track record of publications in reputable venues.
  • Deep expertise in AI algorithms and machine learning technologies, with hands-on experience using tools such as Tensor Flow, Py Torch, etc.
  • Strong programming skills (Python, R, Java, C++) and experience working with large datasets.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with excellent organizational skills and the capacity to motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to a wide audience.
