Job Title: Renewable Energy Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Project Manager to join our team at EDP Energias de Portugal S.A. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design process of wind, solar PV, and BESS projects in Poland, ensuring technical support to the development phase, contracting, and construction phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the preparation of technical projects for the development of wind farms, solar PV plants, and BESS.
  2. Provide technical support to the development phase when required.
  3. Participate in the definition of the engineering scope of works of the development companies.
  4. Coordinate the preparation of technical packages needed to launch the engineering and construction Request for Proposals (RfPs) of wind farms, BESS, and solar PV plants.
  5. Participate in the clarifications and negotiations of the wind farm/BESS/solar PV plant BOP technical specifications with OEMs.
  6. Deliver the evaluation of the selection of wind turbine/solar PV/BESS main equipment models.
  7. Participate in the design of the electrical infrastructure of the generation plants for the interconnection to the electric network common infrastructure.
  8. Prepare the required documentation for grid access and connection applications and grid code compliance.
  9. Provide technical support in the consenting process.
  10. Coordinate the preparation of the detailed engineering of the wind farm/BESS/solar PV project.
  11. Participate in the review of the detailed construction engineering executed by the Construction company.
  12. Coordinate and validate the execution of specific key studies for its integration in the engineering project.
  13. Support the elaboration of the specifications for basic and executive projects.
  14. Provide technical support in the tender processes and assists local country engineering team and Purchasing Department in the adjudication negotiation.
  15. Ensure strong communication between local E&C team and Corp E&C Standards and Corp Engineering.
  16. Coordinate and assure the application of the common standards in the studies and projects.
  17. Participate with the E&C Standardization Dpt. in the EDPR Technical Standards elaboration or review.
  18. Make an optimum transfer of projects under Engineering responsibility to the Construction unit.
  19. Assist in the evaluation and resolution of any proposed modifications of the final engineering project raised during the construction phase.
  20. Understand and comply with company policies, processes, and procedures as well as ensuring that engineering and construction of all projects for the applicable countries are in accordance with legislation, ethics, standards, and good practices across the onshore wind and solar PV industry.

Requirements:

  • Master of Science on Engineering
  • At least 3 year experience in Renewable Energy project, i.e Solar/BESS and/or Wind projects
  • Experience in managing and supervision of engineering projects.
  • Experience in coordination of engineering teams and external engineering companies
  • Knowledge of Wind Farms, PV and/or BESS and High Voltages Lines and Electrical Substations projects
  • Knowledge of International technical normative and local Polish normative
  • Knowledge of GIS and PVsyst will be valued (not mandatory knowledge)
  • Polish and English languages
  • Ability to perform duties in a collaborative, multi-national working environment
  • High attention to detail

  • Communicative and sociable
  • Available to travel
