About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Platform Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of a next-generation data platform for asset management. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, implementing, and running cloud-native data solutions using state-of-the-art technologies such as Databricks, Spark 3, and Python.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement business use cases and processes on the Azure Cloud using Databricks, Spark 3, and Python.
  • Onboard business teams directly onto the new Data Platform.
  • Gather engineering requirements for data use cases.
  • Develop and maintain shared libraries for data pipeline development and data lineage.
  • Participate in the data onboarding of third-party data providers such as Bloomberg and Simcorp.
  • Expose data via APIs.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of commercial experience in working with ETL/ELT data and processes as a Python developer or data engineer.
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL and PySpark on Databricks.
  • Good knowledge of Python, including experience in backend development and project structure standards.
  • Experience working with various data formats such as CSV, JSON, Parquet, and Delta.
  • Familiarity with Azure services, including Databricks, Storage, and KeyVault.
  • Familiarity with software engineering principles and practice in using Git and CI/CD concepts.
  • Team spirit and fluent English.

Compensation

$120,000 - $180,000 per year.
