Job ID: 30684
Expert Business / IT Analyst
Welcome to Group Technology, where we pride ourselves on engineering solutions and direct Nordea's transformation by providing a holistic technological view and structured understanding of the bank, and its surrounding environment to enable the Customer Vision and the Business Strategy.

Nordea is a place where traditions meet tomorrow. We're not just a bank, we're a tech employer on a mission to evolve finance securely and responsibly. Together, we impact millions of people's daily lives by ensuring they can access our solutions anytime, anywhere, while safeguarding their personal data and wealth. Join us in making an impact on the banking industry.

About Our Team
You'll join a high-impact team that designs automated, data-driven solutions enabling intelligent risk management-covering collections, forbearance, early warning systems, and recovery. We're proud of our culture built on Collaboration, Ownership, Passion, and Courage-and we're seeking someone who embodies these values every day.

As an Expert Business / IT Analyst, you'll:

  • Lead elicitation of functional and non-functional requirements, with a focus on risk scenarios and decision logic.
  • Translate business needs into clear source-to-target mappings and transformations within data mart architecture powered by Snowflake.
  • Drive analysis and documentation to ensure requirements align with process models, Pega workflows, and data structures.
  • Serve as a technical SME, mentoring the team on best practices, agile delivery, and end-to-end traceability.
  • Model and optimize business flows using UML, BPMN, or similar, and validate with stakeholders iteratively.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional agile teams—ensuring quality delivery and stakeholder alignment.

Who You Are
To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

  • Are a team player who takes ownership, builds cross-functional relationships, and loves sharing knowledge.
  • Have a curious mindset, challenge the status quo, and suggest improvements with confidence.
  • Can communicate constructively, contributing to a productive work environment and a positive team atmosphere.
  • Enjoy working in an international environment, adapting to different perspectives and business contexts.

What we're looking for:
Must haves:

  • ≥ 8 years of experience as a Business/IT Analyst, preferably with a financial or risk domain background.
  • Some hands-on experience with Pega and Snowflake - you don't need to be an expert, but familiarity will help you hit the ground running.
  • Solid skills in SQL, data mapping, and documenting transformations end-to-end.
  • Agile delivery experience (e.g., Confluence, Jira), plus excellent English (C1+) communication and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience knowledge of Data Mapping and solution integration
  • Knowledge of process modelling and UML
  • BPMN knowledge
  • Experience in IT analysis in integration projects

Nice-to-haves:

  • Exposure to PowerCurve or XBRL.
  • Familiarity with event-driven integrations or messaging patterns (e.g., Kafka, REST APIs).
  • Certification in Business Analysis (IREB, IIBA, PMI-PBA) or a related field.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent.

Why you'll love this role:

  • Work on high-stakes, high-impact initiatives at the heart of automated risk and credit management.
  • Influence core architecture, guiding solutions with both business insight and technical understanding.
  • Be a mentor and knowledge leader in a collaborative, cross-functional team.
  • Grow through exposure to modern platforms (Pega, Snowflake) and next-gen data strategies.

What We Offer
Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the values that guide us in how we work and how we make decisions – and that we imagine you share with us.

People
are driven by many different factors. For some, it's to take their career to the next level. For others, it's to break new ground within their area of expertise – in other words, with us, you will always move forward.

A culture
that fosters performance and growth in one of the largest Nordic banks, offering various opportunities to evolve, develop and learn from brilliant colleagues with diverse backgrounds in a vibrant working environment.

Hybrid working model
– we believe in the value of bringing people together and at the same time we embrace the freedom of flexibility.

are a natural part of our daily work. We know that an inclusive workplace is a sustainable one. We genuinely believe that our diverse backgrounds, experiences, characteristics and traits make us stronger together. Every day we strive to find new ways to improve diversity and inclusion within our community e.g. we have signed the European Diversity Charters in the countries where we operate to show our commitment and engage with others to continue learning and improving.
