Role Overview

The Junior Data Governance Analyst will support the implementation and maintenance of data governance practices, focusing on tooling, metadata management, and workflow automation. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to build a career at the intersection of data management, technology, and business process enablement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in configuring and maintaining
    data governance tools
    , particularly
    Collibra
    .
  • Support the
    integration of data governance tooling
    with other systems using APIs or lightweight scripts.
  • Participate in defining and managing
    data ownership
    ,
    stewardship
    , and
    quality frameworks
    .
  • Maintain and update
    metadata repositories
    , ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Contribute to the setup and maintenance of
    JIRA workflows
    for governance-related processes.
  • Support data governance initiatives across
    Data & Analytics
    and the
    Commercial Data
    teams.
  • Assist with producing documentation, dashboards, and metrics for governance activities.

Skills & Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in a
    data management, governance, or analytics
    role.
  • Exposure to or interest in
    Collibra
    or similar data governance platforms.
  • Basic understanding of
    data lifecycle
    ,
    metadata
    , and
    data quality
    concepts.
  • Some experience with
    JIRA workflows
    or other task-tracking tools.
  • Basic programming/scripting ability (e.g., Python, SQL, or JavaScript) to connect systems or automate workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Desirable

  • Exposure to
