Who are we?

JWM Energia is an investment company with over 12 years of experience trading on European energy markets (power, gas, oil, emissions). We are a member of most European power exchanges as well as an active participant in OTC markets. We have offices in Poland and abroad. Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer / Junior Data Analyst (Warsaw based) to work directly with our trading team on European energy markets. The candidate will be responsible for fetching data from various sources (e.g., APIs, databases), validating it (checking for missing values, duplicates, etc.), building simple ETL processes, and reporting data errors.

Requirements:

  • Basic programming skills in Python and SQL
  • Familiarity with ETL tools, especially Pandas
  • Basic data validation — checking consistency, cleaning data
  • Ability to work with structured data (CSV, JSON)
  • Basic knowledge of Git for version control
  • Basic statistics for data validation

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or an Engineering degree in Computer Science (or a related field)
  • Personal projects or internships
  • Interest in trading in financial or commodity markets
  • Experience in data science / ML
