Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented
QA Automation Engineer
to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation frameworks, scripting, and tools such as
Selenium
,
Cucumber
, and
Gherkin
. You'll work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using
    Selenium
    ,
    Cucumber
    , and Java/Python/JavaScript.
  • Write clear and concise
    Gherkin scenarios
    that define test cases in a BDD format.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and automation coverage.
  • Maintain and enhance existing automation suites and frameworks.
  • Execute automated and manual test cases during development sprints and regression cycles.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution.
  • Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
  • Ensure test environments and test data are properly set up.
  • Advocate for best QA and automation practices across the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in QA automation engineering.
  • Strong experience with
    Selenium WebDriver
    .
  • Proficiency in
    Cucumber
    and writing test scenarios using
    Gherkin syntax
    .
  • Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks.
  • Programming knowledge in
    Java, Python, or JavaScript
    .
  • Familiarity with source control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools.
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with cloud-based testing tools (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
  • Exposure to performance testing or security testing tools.
  • ISTQB or similar QA certification.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
