Basic Function

GL Accountant is a member of General Accounting Team. Responsible for working directly with local teams, line management and other SSC departments. GL Accountant will be responsible for Intercompany process.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Preparation, review and posting of journal entries and accruals to the general ledger,
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations,
  • Ensure proper accounting policies and principles are followed in accordance with GAAP,
  • Daily bank statements check,
  • Clear open items on clearing accounts,
  • Handling daily transactions in scope of Intercompany,
  • Monitor of intercompany position and resolve mismatches from intercompany perspective,
  • Identify and implement process improvements to build efficiencies,
  • Close cooperation within departments across LyondellBasell Group and with auditors,
  • Other duties as required.
Min. Qualifications
  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance or similar,
  • Job experience – At least 2 years experience in general ledger accounting or similar,
  • Very good knowledge of English language,
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point),
  • SAP experience will be a plus,
  • Strong Excel and database skills preferred,
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills,
  • Strong organizational skills,
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
