Job Description

Working within a dynamic and modern finance function, the candidate must be comfortable with a rapidly changing and growing business environment. The start-up nature of the business means key finance functions including P&A, business finance strategy / financial modelling, LOB treasury functional responsibilities and business management are currently residing in the same team. New ideas and innovative ways of working are welcomed and you will be part of our daily team stand up where we plan the book of work, discuss risks and issues, and focus on upcoming milestones.

As a Finance and Business Management - Product Controller within the ICB team, you will be a key player in a dynamic and modern finance function. You will have the opportunity to grow with the team, build and develop processes, and contribute to the launch of the new International Consumer business. Your role will involve P&L and Headcount reporting, finance planning and modelling, and partnering closely with many stakeholders across the organization. Job responsibilities

  • Provides executive management reporting and insights
  • Plans budget & monthly outlook
  • Analyses variance and comments key business drivers
  • Reports P&L, Customer economics, data modelling
  • Takes ownership and monitors of cost attribution calculations and bookings between legal entities
  • Plans and models business finance
  • Supports legal entity related reporting; considering balance sheet trends, and regulatory threshold monitoring
  • Takes care of ICAAP & ILAAP (stress testing, baseline planning, key finance risks)
  • Partners with the business as a trusted partner and advisor in providing support to product, marketing & technology teams on all financial matters
  • Develops insightful materials to support the narrative of key messages including thorough research to substantiate and challenges assumptions and estimations
  • Engages and partners with numerous functions across the Firm - Legal entity control, regulatory, tax, policy and controller functions with inputs and insights of the business

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Finance/Planning & Analysis/Controlling
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills and ability to communicate at all levels
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Analyse data, identify trends, drivers and reasoning for financial changes
  • Flexibility to work under pressure to meet changing work requirements and strict deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and auditable record keeping
  • Financial modelling and proficiency in Excel
  • Degree in Finance/Accounting/IT/Mathematics from top university
  • Experience from a Bank, Consultancy or prior Controlling role

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Understanding of financial accounting standards
  • Knowledge of banking products
