Job Purpose/Overview

The role of the Subject Matter Expert (SME) is to support the Process Leader in the execution of the Genpact & Mars Transformation projects.  This pivotal role will ensure that the outcomes of the Transformation Projects are directly in line with the defined Global Process Standards, through analysis and review at each stage of the Projects.  This role will work closely with the Transformation PMO and operations across all MGSF spoke & hub locations to deliver all Supply Chain Finance (process and technology) projects identified during the Global Blueprinting exercise. 

What are we looking for?

  • SAP expert to ensure the execution of all transactions in SAP are executed in line with Enterprise Standards.

  • 5 years of Supply Chain Finance operational experience & knowledge of costing, period close, and reporting

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

  • Able to use metrics and data to validate different perspectives… a creative problem solver.

  • Proven analytical & data manipulation skills.

  • Highly developed Excel skills.

  • Able to work across functions with good interpersonal skills, to ensure effective collaboration.

  • Project management experience… able to juggle many and often competing priorities.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment and deal with ambiguity.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Apply SCF expertise when evaluating operational process data & provide Mars design requirements to align with the overall project objective.

  • Able to navigate SAP and demonstrate how processes should be actioned in line with Global Process Standards.

  • Ask questions to clarify statements from operational users to fully understand the problem statement.

  • Be curious and insist on data and examples to explain issues that users articulate.

  • Be able to demonstrate the real problem to technology partners.

  • Undertake data analysis and investigation to understand the root cause of issues in SAP, Blackline, and other systems.

  • Providing expertise and guidance to Digital Technologies at each stage of the project life cycle. Provide input to the technical/systems requirements.

  • Lead validation & initial testing activity (where appropriate) and then oversee operational user testing.

  • Verify/update technical reference information process and control standards (PACS), Internal Controls Excellence (ICE), Desktop Procedures (DTPs) & other training materials. 

  • Lead and/or support (where appropriate) the design & development of the operational user training documentation and, as necessary, deliver the training for any new solutions.

  • Escalate quickly where any control gaps are evidenced through the investigations and reviews undertaken.

  • Support Global Process Leaders in defining success criteria for technical solutions.
