Description

Within the European Hub / Region in the Transformers Business Unit, we have a vast product portfolio consisting of Power, Distribution, Dry and Traction transformers, alongside components such as bushings and tap changers, and insulation, all used worldwide on conversion of electrical energy. For our Quality function, we are looking for an Product Line Quality Manager, who will be working immersed in one of our Product Line organizations and be accountable to thoroughly drive quality excellence end-to-end in our value chain across Hub Europe. 
The Product Line Quality Manager will report directly to the Hub Europe Quality Manager and will be located in one of the production facilities: Bad Honnef (Germany), Cordoba (Spain), Monselice (Italy), Ludvika (Sweden), 
Lodz (Poland), Vaasa (Finland). No relocation support is offered for this position. 

Your responsibilities

  • Reporting functionally to the regional Product Line Operations Manager, you will support the Product Line (PL) with the implementation of the Business Unit (BU) /Global Product Group (GPG) Quality Plan, together with the regional Quality Strategy across the PL

  • Accountable for development and deployment of local factory QPIs. Executes a regular follow up with factories

  • Lead Quality performance in the PL factories, providing governance for all Factory Quality Managers in the PL

  • Accountable for quality performance towards achievement of Quality targets (RELEX dashboard, key Q KPIs) on Product Line level

  • Accountable for achievement of the quality improvements in the factories

  • Lead key improvement projects supporting the quality goals

  • Support Factory teams by providing Lean 6 Sigma competences

  • Implement Quality System, common Quality Initiatives within PL

  • Lead cost out projects (quality related projects, Hard OPQ cost reduction, etc.)

  • Accountable for continuous improvement measures such as Lean Six Sigma

  • Responsible for deploying Lean Six Sigma methodology and Certification process across the PL

  • Attend all PL management meetings, challenge and address activities for Quality improvement, coordinating cross-functional Quality Specialists in Engineering and Marketing & Sales (HUB Quality End-to-End strategy) in the Product Line

  • Represent the HUB Europe dedicated Product Line towards respective Global Product Group

Your background

  • Master degree in Engineering or correlated relevant discipline

  • Demonstrated strong drive and leadership in a Quality Management position in an Manufacturing environment, for a minimum of 7 years

  • A previous hands-on experience in Transformers, an electro-mechanical or related industry on a role as Quality Manager

  • Expertise on the delivery of effective and accurate problem solving with solid Root Cause Analysis using different methodologies

  • Strong exposure to processes and methods such as APQP, Lean 6 Sigma, etc. and tools such as Ishikawa, FTA, FMEA, QFD, etc.

  • Conversational with Quality international standards such as, but not limited to, ISO 9001, IEEE or IEC. 

  • Excellent interpersonal & multi-cultural as well as good soft skills (communication, negotiation & influencing), networker, business savvy, result and action oriented, resilient, with fluency in English

  • The Product Line Quality Managers is expected to travel on demand, in average 30% of the time

  • Local language skills are a plus
