Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBRâs enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contractâs original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.

Job Summary

As a Senior Logistics Manager, you will provide leadership by directing the efforts of management personnel or staff involved in providing a variety of support to efforts involved with Fuel, Water, Food Service, Property, Warehousing, Transportation, Laundry, and Mortuary Affairs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall performance of the assigned departments or functions.
  • Provide operational oversight to ensure work is accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner and provides reports to executive leadership as required.
  • Oversee the awareness and employee compliance with all applicable company directives, policies, and procedures throughout the assigned organization.
  • Coordinate activities involving the customer, other organizations, and/or company leadership.
  • Responsible for defining training requirements, developing employee skills, and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with Site Management teams to execute project objectives and complete data gathering, tracking and reporting.
  • Manage four direct reports (Food Service, Fuels, Water, and Materials Managers).
  • Develop and implement performance standards and internal controls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a Secret Security clearance and maintain it for the duration of your employment on this contract. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for this position.
  • Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NACI.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 10 years of experience in logistics management.
  • Must have at least 5 years overseas deployment experience in a logistics management capacity.
  • Must have team building skills.
  • Must possess general understanding of LOGCAP concept of operations. 
  • Requires strong organizational abilities.
  • Must possess excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Requires excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be able to multi-task proficiently while meeting short suspenseâs for both scheduled Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and unscheduled reports/tasks.
  • Must have the ability to form a vision for the future and strategize solutions to reach the desired end- state.
  • Must have excellent planning skills that enable you to establish goals and determine the most effect method to meet objectives.
  • Must be a strategic manager who can identify inefficiencies and make improvements quickly.
  • Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Experience in liquid logistics (fuels and water) operations.
  • Experience in transportation operations.
  • Experience in food service operations.
  • Experience in property management.
  • Experience in warehouse operations.
  • A Bachelorâs Degree in a related field.
