Currently, our Global Tools & Storage team is searching for results-driven Global Supply Chain Leadership Development Program Candidatesto lead Operations around Europe.

The Stanley Black & Decker Leadership Development Program ("SLP")is a fast-track 2-year rotational program that is an integrated process for accelerating the development of our future leaders. It is geared toward early-career associates with manufacturing and/or supply chain internship experience and a relevant degree who have a passion for a long-term career in operations.

The Global Supply Chain SLP will work in 3 different rotations such as planning, manufacturing, and procurement in different facilities across Europe. The SLP will have to rotate once internationally for 8 months.Each of the rotations has project assignments that allow participants to become familiar with how we do business and contribute to the success of that facility. The program offers invaluable experiences for early-career associates seeking challenging developmental opportunities to jump-start their careers. This high-profile opportunity will provide a great deal of company-wide exposure and professional growth.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in (manufacturing/mechanical/industrial engineering), supply chain; management, computer engineering, logistics, and all engineering majors;
  • Maximum 2 years of relevant work/internship experience.
  • Possess the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis;
  • Experience with collecting and analyzing data to effect process improvements, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency;
  • Demonstrate strong project management, problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills;
  • Must have demonstrated leadership experience and a passion for excellence;
  • Strong desire and motivation to develop a career as a future leader;
  • Executes with the highest degree of integrity and accountability;
  • Must be willing to rotate at least once for 8 months to a new location;
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business beginning with the shop floor and ending with senior management;
  • Basic knowledge of supply chain, logistics, and engineering;
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%, of domestic and international travel.
  • Must have a "can-do" attitude – the desire to go above and beyond in all you do

In your first rotation as a Manufacturing Specialist, you'll be part of our Manufacturing team working as an on-site employee. You'll get to:

  • Demonstrate safety first when operating machinery, and handling machinery and materials.
  • Contribute to the development and verification of manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
  • Provides guidance and technical support for team members, equipment operators, and allied teams/team members.
  • Monitors operational processes and equipment performance, identifying and recommending methods to improve both effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Implements data collection processes to track manufacturing information (i.e., test yields, manufacturing fallout, throughput).
  • Ensure effective allocation of resources across all areas of the operation to accomplish customer-driven priorities.
  • Continually benchmark best practices and implement them as appropriate.
