We, the Estates IT team, play a crucial role as the primary contact for Global IT functions related to Dyson's Corporate Real Estate.
Our team spearheads the IT aspects of designing and implementing new offices globally.
We collaborate with IT product owners to ensure adherence to technology standards, including infrastructure, network, AV, workstations, and EUC.
Our focus is on fostering innovation and actively seeking market standards and next-generation technology to align with current and future business needs.
Additionally, our team leads the introduction of new Digital Workplace Services, such as space booking, concierge services, and smart building technology.
We prioritize establishing and maintaining robust relationships with the business and all other IT areas, ensuring consistent communication regarding service requirements, improvements, risks, changes, and provisioning issues. This approach ensures a seamless and efficient operation.
About the role- Work closely with the Estates IT Project team on defining the scope of work and requirements to Design, develop and implement new and existing Dyson Infrastructure.
- Performing Infrastructure technical analysis and validation of functional and non-functional requirements from business stakeholders.
- Providing network specialist expertise for all Estates IT deliveries and IT services with regards to new and existing Dyson sites e.g., offices, research labs, Manufacturing, etc.
- Validating and/or creating network Design and implementation plans and documentation where applicable.
- Able to independently plan and manage tasks and resources of technical internal or third-party delivery teams.
- Supporting and/or performing post go live testing to ensure that the technical solution is conformant to Dyson's network standards and designs.
- Supporting the service introduction, release and change management processes to ensure that technical deliveries are well planned and executed.
- Provide input and support to your Network Architect for future roadmaps.
- Stay abreast of trends in your domain of expertise including management, technologies, sourcing, policies, procedures, and other external changes that could have an impact on your domains technical delivery at Dyson.
- Proactively drive innovation, with new ideas and options made available by new technology and process.
- Identify, own, and manage risks and issues relating to the network related project delivery, ensuring that mitigating actions are agreed and executed.
- Ensure that you and third-party delivery teams are working within the bounds of Dyson's policies and any global legislative compliance e.g. GDPR, PCI, Cyber Security standards etc
- Ensure technical compliance to technical design authorities and architectural principles and roadmaps.
- Minimum 5 years Infrastructure deployment experience on Cabling, power, and cooling.
- Experienced Technical and hands on deployment of Network and Infrastructure Architecture
- Cisco SDWAN and SDA Deployments knowledge and experience.
- Technical knowledge on Server hosting platforms, Unified communications, network management tools, VPN, firewalls, and cloud connectivity and cloud hosting platform will be a plus.
- Create and review high-level, low-level Network and Infrastructure Design and Architecture.
- Supporting the service introduction, release and change management processes to ensure that technical deliveries are well planned and executed into network operations.
- Integration between 3rd party infrastructure and Cisco networks
- Familiarity with Project Management processes is an advantage.
