Tasks
  • Developing and implementing Global Commodity Strategy
  • Leading and contributing sourcing related projects in different indirect categories
  • Conducting market researches to support business cases, finding alternative products, suppliers and markets and monitoring price trends
  • Analyzing spend data within Lufthansa Group to derive procurement measures
  • Performing tender and tender-related activities, such as negotiations and contract finalizations
  • Monitoring supplier performance and identifying potential risks and ensuring continuous improvement of supplier performance, initiating countermeasures if necessary
  • Maintaining procurement projects and saving results
  • Ensuring purchase of goods and services according to company guidelines
  • Supporting category management in the definition and implementation of category and supplier strategy
  • Supporting in other procurement related topics or special tasks

* Perform all other duties assigned or delegated by supervisors

  • Master/Bachelor degree in Business Engineering, Economics, Finance, IT, Management, Law or Equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Strategic Procurement
  • Experience in managing buying projects between 0,1-5 Million Euro
  • Brought yearly savings to the company of 1-2 Million
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) – min. C1
  • Fluency in German (written and spoken) – min. B
  • Very good command of MS office and Windows applications
  • Very good command of Procurement related tools
  • Analytical and conceptual mindset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong co-operation skills
  • Highly independent
  • Customer-oriented
  • Fast learner
  • Interdisciplinary knowledge and interests
  • Affinity for data/ figures based on TCO-principle
