DESCRIPTION: Candidate(s) applying for the above position must meet the requirements set out in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2018, item 1668. as amended), in the Statute of the University (Section VIII Employees of SGGW).

The primary responsibilities of the scientific and didactic assistant position will include:

• Conducting didactic classes (lectures, laboratory, and field exercises) in both Polish and English

• Conducting scientific research for personal academic development and for the Independent Department of Agricultural and Environmental Chemistry, and publishing research results

• Engaging in activities aimed at securing funding for research

Required qualifications and expectations:

• A master's degree in chemistry, obtained no earlier than 2021

• Documented scientific interests in the fields of agriculture and/or environmental protection, biogeochemistry of elements, ecotoxicology, bioindication

• Proficiency in English sufficient to freely use scientific literature, write publications, and conduct didactic classes

• Ability to work in a team, independence and work discipline, as well as communication skills

• Ability to plan and conduct scientific research and participate in team research using chemical apparatus

• Ability to write scientific publications in Polish and English
• Active participation in scientific conferences

• Organizational work for the Independent Department of Agricultural and Environmental Chemistry, the Institute of Agriculture and the Faculty of Agriculture and Ecology

An additional advantage for the candidate will be:

• Documented scientific achievements evidenced by publications in journals with an impact factor (IF)

• Documented experience in preparing applications for research and development projects funded by various national and international institutions

• Documented internship/work in institutions related to the agricultural sector and/or institutions/companies operating in the field of environmental management/protection

• Willingness to conduct didactic classes in Polish and English in the fields of chemistry, agricultural chemistry, environmental chemistry, environmental protection and monitoring, chemical analysis techniques
