Business Analyst / Data Insights - Working Student

Job Description

Working Student is a long-term paid internship, that allows you to kickstart your fabulous journey in the IT and Telecom world. As our Trainee you can have experience working in such areas that correspond to full-time engineering jobs. The internship usually lasts from 6 to 24 months. We are open to flexible working hours so that you can reconcile working with us with your studies. #OpenToYou.

We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst - Data Insights Working Student with a knowledge of data analytics to bridge the gap between business needs and data-driven solutions. You will play a role in translating business requirements into actionable insights through data analysis.

Responsibilities

As part of our team, you will:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to understand their business needs and challenges
  • Translate business requirements into clear and concise data collection and analysis plans
  • Utilize SQL to query and extract data from relational databases
  • Leverage Python scripting to manipulate, clean, and analyse data sets
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
  • Create clear and concise data visualizations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Document findings, methodologies, and recommendations in a comprehensive and easy-to-understand manner
  • Present data insights and recommendations to stakeholders, effectively communicating the business implications
Qualifications

You should have:
  • Active student status (for at least one year) in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred)
  • Good English, both spoken and written
  • Working knowledge of data analysis concepts and methodologies
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries to extract data from databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor communication to different audiences
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
It would be nice if you also had:
  • Working experience with Python for data manipulation and analysis
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI)
