WHY BOX NEEDS YOU

Box is seeking a QA automation engineer to join our Enterprise Systems team. As a QA Automation Engineer, your task is to write scripts and set up automation environments for recurring tests. Using various automation tools, you'll develop, test, and implement efficient test automation solutions. Your objective is to automate as much of the testing process as feasible with minimal code.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Write, design, and run automated tests by creating scripts for automatic testing functions
  • Enhance test coverage for critical system features
  • Establish test scenario priorities and develop execution plans for these scenarios
  • Create documentation for automated processes, including test plans, procedures, and cases
  • Construct test automation frameworks
  • Log and report bugs using the tracking system
  • Configure Continuous Integration
  • Aside from automated tests, Test Automation Engineers can conduct exploratory testing when needed to understand how functionalities appear to users
WHO YOU ARE
  • Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with around 5-7 years of experience
  • 3-5 years of Automation experience is necessary
  • Proficient in programming to script in common languages such as Javascript, Python
  • Analytical ability to review bug reports, prioritize tests, and optimize application functions through automated testing
  • Experience with Enterprise applications (Salesforce, Netsuite, etc.) is advantageous
  • Previous work with offshore/nearshore/onshore models is beneficial
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology is preferred
  • Detail-oriented as you'll be testing web and mobile apps to enhance them and identify issues
  • Effective verbal communication skills to collaborate with the engineering team, devise testing plans, and prepare error reports

  • Continuous Integration tools: Jenkins, Github
  • X-ray, JIRA - Tools for defect tracking and task creation
