We are looking for an experienced EMEA Total Rewards (Benefits and LOA) HR Ops lead to join our People Operations team at Atlassian to enhance manager and employee overall experience in partnership with our COE's.

This role combines the perfect blend of global HR benefits and Leave of Absence craft as well as operations experience which are required in order to facilitate the success of both managers and employees by addressing inquiries related to Benefits, Rewards, policies, procedures and programs.

The successful applicant will have the desire to tackle existing complex problems as well as a proactive approach to anticipating employee and manager experience related needs and applying a customer-centric and solution mindset to their everyday working style in order to objectively handle and prioritise those needs to be in line with global policy. This role requires the successful candidate to think globally while acting locally to ensure global consistency in everything we do.

The primary responsibility of the role will be to manage a team of HR operational specialists and contribute & drive projects/initiatives in partnership with Service Delivery Manager/COEs and SME's. The role is aimed at providing resolution for the majority of HR Operational matters that arise on the ground while driving exceptional employee experience by remaining connected to the overall HR People Operations team goal which is making our process capable (meeting COE & business requirements), responsive (flexible and quick) and reliable (meeting all requirements consistently).

You will be expected to challenge the status quo, proactively look for opportunities to improve our employee experience offerings on the ground in collaboration with the global People Operations team.

Key Skills

As a successful candidate, you are high energy, driven and experienced EMEA HR Benefits and LOA lead with the perfect blend of HR benefits skillset ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced and complex environment in a fast-growing company. The role requires a dual focus from both a people and a business perspective. EMEA HR Benefits lead will enable the success of SMEs and partner with COE's and SME on all people operation matters related to the regions. You will form a critical part of the global HR shared services transformation team that redefines how the people team provides services for the business now and in the future.

Key responsibilities:

Manage the resource needs, responsibilities, and activities of the Total Rewards Operations team.

Provide leadership/direction, build capabilities, and prioritize the work of the Total Rewards Operations Associates, adapting priorities to meet objectives. This includes, but is not limited to:

resolution of EMEA total rewards inquiries driving to delivery within established service level agreements

review of system generated correspondence and communications, vendor websites (including benefits enrolment tools), training materials, Local Work Instructions and Knowledge Articles to ensure these are current, accurate and relevant, recommending updates as needed

support compliance and governance of all total rewards plans and programs including identify risks, participate in audits and recommend and deliver corrective actions

recommend and deliver improvements to existing Total Rewards/Benefits Services systems and processes

Ensure complete service to customers; identify EMEA/global issues and continuous improvement opportunities for Total Rewards

Manage the regional execution of annual open enrolment/renewals and work closely with the Global Total Rewards COE Leads and SME's

Collaborate across regions as needed, to manage Total Rewards Operations teams capacity to enable the resourcing needs for timely delivery of total rewards initiatives, programs and projects as identified by the Total Rewards

Responsible for leading components of global total rewards program delivery and projects, and manage team's execution and delivery

Provide guidance and direction to Total Rewards Operations associates on annual performance and ad hoc rewards activities e. g. mandatory and annual increases, off-cycle salary reviews, etc.

Continuously review and manage the effectiveness and efficiency of the Total Rewards Operations team and recommend modifications to processes and systems in an effort to reduce TAT and improve delivery

Ensure compliance with the organization's quality standards and training requirements

Ensure Employee services team is trained on systems and processes documented to support inquiries from employees that come into People Services

Basic Qualification:

3-5 years of experience leading and managing a team in a rapid, fast-moving environment which is both complex and changing

Knowledge of Benefits, Leave of Absence, etc for countries in the EMEA region (Poland, Germany, UK, France, The Netherlands, etc)

Demonstrated operational abilities, and Process-oriented and able to maintain the accuracy of data in a fast-paced environment.

Delivery-focused mindset, with the drive to solve complex problems through analytics and structured root-cause problem-solving.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and take initiative even in ambiguous circumstances.

Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to provide updates at all levels as well as the ability to tailor communications to suit a variety of audience

Ability to deal with ambiguity in a constantly changing/ fast-paced environment

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work within a global team environment

Demonstrates successful track record in building sustainable relationships with all stakeholders

Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required. Preferably in HR or a business related field

Minimum 8 years of experience in EMEA total rewards service delivery/operations

Demonstrated analytical abilities, attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing tasks and priorities

Subject matter expert in Total Rewards disciplines (Leave of Absence and Benefits)

Proven operational, interpersonal, project management, vendor management and leadership skills and the ability to present complex information in a clear and convincing way to Team, COE's, and Operations Team

Ability to understand HR data and flows, and experience in implementing end-to-end processes, new solutions and / or HR systems, particularly in Workday

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to formulate tentative strategic decisions.

Knowledge of Atlassian products/tools e.g. Jira Service Desk, Confluence, Trello
