By joining EC, you have the unique opportunity to contribute to AECOM's mission of delivering a better world through monumental projects located globally.We are looking for a Highway Designer with expertise in roadway design to join our dedicated Linear Infrastructures team. Whether working on feasibility studies or detailed designs, you'll collaborate on various projects within multidisciplinary teams for clients from the private and public sectors. Join us in working on iconic Transportation projects and enjoy being part of a diverse and multicultural team at the Europe Global Delivery Center in Poland and Spain.Responsibilities of this role:
  • Autonomously handle small projects or segments of larger projects related to linear infrastructures
  • Independently prepare design calculations or reports for linear infrastructure elements
  • Conduct highway engineering in line with budget and schedule
  • Perform self-checks on work before submission and participate in quality control reviews
  • Create project deliverables reviewed by senior team members
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers
Minimum Requirements
  • Proven track record in highway designs (+7 years)
  • Experience with international regulations and standards, such as AASTHO, Australian Codes, British Standards, etc.
  • Proficiency in geometric design software like InRoads, OpenRoads, Civil 3D, Geopak, 12d Model
  • Advanced CAD software skills, preferably in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
  • Experience working in North America or Australia
  • Fluency in English (oral and written)
  • English language CV
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license in the US and/or Australia
