Mechanical Design Engineer

In the position of Mechanical Design Engineer, you play a crucial role as an engineering expert contributing to the development of a wide range of gas turbines and aero-engines.
Your main responsibility involves handling both general and detailed Mechanical Design tasks and projects within the Mechanical Design Team. This includes conducting initial conceptual and detailed design studies aimed at achieving the design freeze of components for gas turbines and aero-engines, as well as providing support for manufacturing and post-sale/service engineering activities for the extension of part lifetime.
Additionally, you will actively participate in design reviews to ensure that the proposed technical solutions meet project specifications, align with market trends, and consider alternative options.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Prepare relevant design and quality documentation using Catia/Autocad following the appropriate standards and design guidelines
- Define material specifications for steam turbine components
- Conduct necessary calculations and analyses for these components
- Collect and analyze technical data
- Ensure timely delivery of documentation and adherence to budgets
- Analyze client feedback and provide comprehensive responses
- Engage in design and technical reviews both internally and externally
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the power/energy/industrial sectors
- Proficiency in steam turbine design and operating principles
- Familiarity with modern engineering tools, standards, and design principles
- Understanding of manufacturing processes would be advantageous
- Proficiency in Catia V5 and Autocad
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with multitasking capabilities
- Excellent planning, organization, and presentation skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Capability to work in a multicultural environment
- Highly motivated, organized, self-initiated individual with a strong work ethic and integrity
