Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Android Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Poland. Our client is one of the largest food retailers in the world, operating thousands of stores in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Europe. The company carries out business through multi-format stores and online. It operates stores in various formats differentiated by size and range of products sold, including large, small, dotcom only, and one-stop. They offer fresh food, drinks, bakery, grocery, home and entertainment products, baby products, clothing, household appliances, frozen food, pets, health and beauty products, consumer electronics, and electrical goods. It also provides consultancy, retail banking, and insurance services. The company was founded in 1919 and is headquartered in Welwyn Garden City, the UK.We're looking for an Android Developer who will lead in shaping the mobile product. You will be responsible for developing the application. Therefore, you must have excellent self-organization skills, combined with proactiveness in identifying areas for improvement, whether it's optimizing code performance or enhancing user experience, ideally backed by similar experiences in the past. The team is building a new product using an existing code base, combining new things with existing solutions, tech stack, etc. They are creating new products on existing foundations.
Requirements:- 5+ years of experience with Android SDK and Android Studio.
- Good knowledge of Kotlin.
- Good familiarity with RESTful APIs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in leading.
- Shape and guide the development of the Android mobile application with your expertise.
- Translate requirements and designs into high-quality, efficient Kotlin code.
- Optimize code performance and enhance user experience.
- Plan, manage, and execute codebase-wide adjustments.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex Android applications.
- Work effectively with other teams (product and UX) to deliver a cohesive product.
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews.
- US and EU projects based on advanced technologies.
