Your Vital Role in the Team:

If you join our KYC team, your main responsibility will involve meticulously reviewing exceptions in new customer accounts, evaluating a diverse range of retail, complex Corporate, and Institutional accounts, and scrutinizing new customer processes and policies. Efficient communication with both internal and external stakeholders is crucial for completing the KYC review process. This role offers a valuable learning experience in Anti-money laundering (AML) procedures, provides opportunities to identify and address potential risks, hones problem-solving skills, allows for development within the broader operations team, and encourages building strong relationships with sales, compliance, and other operational departments.

What Will You Do:

Leverage your process expertise to identify exceptions in different types of retail and institutional account opening procedures. Utilize comprehensive knowledge of Corporate and Institutional/IB clients to detect red flags and conduct a thorough risk assessment of prospective clients. Facilitate both simple and complex onboarding processes for institutional clients. Serve as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for inquiries from various stakeholders. Provide training to new team members and support their learning curve. Stay updated on the latest regulatory and procedural requirements, taking charge of relevant updates. Proactively address incidents and escalate system/process issues while updating the management. Adhere consistently to agreed targets, KPIs, SLAs, productivity, and quality standards. Conduct timely quality check analyses and offer feedback. Engage with internal/external audit teams when needed. Identify potential risks and process loopholes. Manage multiple tasks proficiently to meet deadlines in a high-volume work environment. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and team members for successful project outcomes.

Key Qualification Requirements:

Several years of experience in AML/KYC activities within the financial services sector In-depth knowledge of end-to-end KYC and client onboarding processes across all entity types Strong awareness of various risks (Operational, Compliance, Business, and Reputational) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Familiarity with AML/KYC regulations and industry guidelines Ability to source information from diverse data outlets Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English Keen attention to detail Proficiency in MsExcel and the capacity to design and comprehend operational reports Highly adaptable with the ability to respond promptly to shifting priorities and exigencies Focus on process improvement and operational efficiency
