Smith+Nephew is hiring Network Engineer
What will you be doing?
- As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for creating logical network designs for LAN, wireless, and voice network services in various locations such as offices, warehouses, and manufacturing sites. You will also develop physical layouts for these network services and create technical documents including HLD, LLD, BOM, work instructions, and standards.
- You will work closely with stakeholders to coordinate reviews and provide assurance of deliverables. You will participate in Network Operations to ensure network availability and performance, collaborating with network providers on operational issues.
- You will play a role in the enterprise contracts renewal process and participate in the preparation of proposals and Statements of Work.
- Furthermore, you will oversee the general health of the service required to meet business requirements, ensuring ongoing architectural integrity throughout its lifecycle.
- You will also be responsible for ensuring that all IT Service Management processes, Service Level Agreements, and Underpinning Contracts are appropriate for the agreed service level targets.
What you will need to be successful?
- strong technical background in Systems/Technology/Network design, development, and implementation, with a proven track record in these areas. They should possess a CCNA level certification or equivalent experience and have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware.
- ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for LAN, wireless, and voice network services. They should have knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols, as well as the ability to provide specific detailed information for documented hardware and software.
- self-starter who can work independently but is also comfortable working in a team environment. You should have good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL disciplines and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required, along with proficiency in English at the B2 level.
