Responsibilities

Mission:

Société Générale Global Solution Center Poland is a new, growing area of the SG Warsaw Branch. Currently we're seeking for a skilled and experienced Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team.

Within Global Banking and Advisory business Unit (GLBA), GLBA/BMO team aims at supporting the strategy, the development, and the transformation of the activity, while maintaining a solid and secure working framework. The team is part of a business unit and not the IT department, so solid IT expertise and strong appetite for functional matter is key.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the full development life cycle of various applications dedicated to business users. This includes needs analyses, development, user support, training, and technical advisory.

The first mission will be to organize a transition phase, to take over existing applications: learn applications scopes, functional and technical. Identify improvement areas, organize support, review backlogs with product owners and develops enhancements.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business users to understand and analyze their needs and translate them into functional applications
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications, API or tool
  • Provide technical advice and support to users
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements in Data manipulation and prototyping (BI, Low-Code, No-Code)
  • Push Data Driven approaches and innovation to our users
Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in software development

Language skills:

  • Proficiency in English
  • Polish is nice to have

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Knowledge of the technical stack :
    • Backend: Java, Springboot, Tomcat
    • Database: PostgreSQL, Oracle
    • Frontend: Angular
    • Proficient in Excel, Power BI, and our internal Low Code solution
    • Knowledge of Data Engineering is essential
    • Knowledge of Data Science is a plus
  • Autonomy: Ability to work independently and manage one's own tasks
  • Curiosity: A keen interest in learning new technologies and understanding how they can be applied to improve our applications
  • Rigorous and organized: Ability to maintain high standards of quality and deliver projects on time
  • Analytical: Ability to analyze complex problems and propose effective solutions
  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Problem solver: Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues efficiently
  • Interest in functional topics: A desire to understand the functional aspects of our business and how they can be enhanced through software development
