3D Generalist / Motion Designer

Your role will involve:

• Scene assembly and lighting for standalone renders.
• Strong understanding of motion design and animation principles
• Working in coordination with other team members to ensure high standards are maintained even with tight deadlines.
• Independently develop concepts from an early stage to completion.
• Inspire other team members

Requirements:

• Experience delivering standalone shots on excellent standard
• Understanding of CG techniques and technologies
• Strong understanding of light, color and composition
• Works within the established pipeline and offer constructive suggestions to improve the process
• Helps develop and explore new ways to enhance results
• Helps team debug issues and learn new methods
• Strong willingness to grow, learn new methods, and share knowledge with others

Millarc is expanding and we want to push our work to another level so we are currently on the look out for FX talent to join our 3D team in Kraków.

Your role will involve:

• Creating a wide variety of realistic effects, including but not limited to smoke, fluid, cloth and particles
• Working under the guidance of art director to achieve the desired level of aesthetic quality often exploring different approaches and looks
• Revising simulations based on client and supervisor feedback in a timely manner
• Coordinating with the lighting department to ensure seamless integration of FX elements
• Working within the established pipeline and offer constructive suggestions to improve the process

Requirements:

• Knowledge of sideFX Houdini
• Creative ability and artistic talent, demonstrated by previous work
• Strong experience in creating a wide variety of simulations
• Understanding of physics, realistic motion, and assorted natural phenomena on different scales
• The ability to learn new software quickly

Nice to have:

• Basic lighting skills.
• Basic compositing skills
• Scripting experience is a plus

Your role will involve:

• Maintain the overall look, colour balance, and quality for assigned shots and sequences to
  create uniformity in all finished work.
• Perform all tasks associated with the compositing process, including: matte extraction,
  layering of elements, compositing multipass CG elements and colour grading.
• Works under the guidance of art director to achieve the desired level of aesthetic quality
  often exploring different approaches and looks.
• Ability to work collaboratively with artists from other disciplines.
• Works within the established pipeline and offer constructive suggestions to improve the
  process.
• Helps develop and explore new ways to enhance results.
• Helps team debug issues and learn new methods.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience on similar position
• Creative ability and artistic talent, demonstrated by previous work
• Knowledge of After Effects or Nuke
• Strong aesthetic skills in judging photo-realism and colour
• The ability to learn new software quickly

Your role will involve:

• Lead teams of artists to produce creative work of the exceptional standard. Working closely
  with artists throughout the life of projects, ensuring they understand the goals and deadlines
  for their work and bringing them back on track when required.
• Develop responses to creative briefs, including developing style frames, concepts and rough
  edits.
• Participate in client-facing meetings and calls, alongside producers, receiving feedback and
  offering creative advice as projects progress.
• Remain up to date with current creative trends and innovations in design, motion graphics
  and visual effects and apply these to your work.
• Comfortable presenting to clients, be that in pitches or in regular project progress and
  feedback sessions.
• Experience of developing successful responses to briefs, including style frames and writing
  treatments.
• As a key member of the studio, some of the important skills to have are great judgment and
  disposition towards ideas, brand building and creative strategy. The key personal attributes
  are a willingness to get involved, and a desire to continue learning.
• Ability to work collaboratively with artists from other disciplines.

• Knowledge of After Effects, Vray, Max or Maya
• Strong aesthetic skills in judging photo-realism and colour
• The ability to learn new software quickly
