The IT-company Andersen is looking for a Senior C++ Game Developer to join a major project for a European client.

The client is a well-established European video game developer and publisher founded in 2002, with offices across Germany, Cyprus, Hungary, and Latvia housing numerous skilled developers. Known for their innovative game development approach and diverse award-winning portfolio, this company is a key player in the industry.

The project involves contributing to the creation of online games for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Developing new features and maintaining existing functionality in languages like C++, daScript, and Quirrel.
  • Optimizing code for better performance.
  • Reviewing code for quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of general programming experience.
  • Previous experience in game development, whether commercial or non-commercial.
  • Understanding of linear algebra concepts like vectors and matrices.
  • Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
  • Prior involvement in the gaming industry with a passion for game development.
  • Strong systemic thinking and excellent self-organizational skills.
  • Team player with a desire to collaborate effectively.
  • Intermediate level of English proficiency or higher.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with SCRUM methodology and tools like YouTrack or Jira.
  • Knowledge of Data-oriented Design for game systems and familiarity with Entity Component Systems.
  • Hands-on experience with XBox One, XBox Series X, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and other gaming consoles.
